13th ANIMAGE FILM FESTIVAL

Join us to the ANIMAGE International Animation Film Festival of Pernambuco, Carcinização was selected to the competitive shot film screening and winning two Awards of Best Brazilian Short Film one by the jury of ANIMAGE and the other by the ABCA (Brazilian Animation Film Association). The film was represented by Denis Souza and Ana Ambrosano, director and producer of Carcinização.

Because it is the animation that captivates and involves us throughout the work: a creative, young, and contemporary use of the animation technique in conjunction with the art direction, which is presented in as many different ways as each moment of the script's narrative seems to call for, lulled by the sound and soundtrack that appear to be native to that environment and story.

In the midst of so many fantastic and diverse films discussing the past, the present, without losing sight of the future, demonstrating the strength of national production, we came to a decision: for the inspiring soundtrack, the aesthetic freshness of the narrative, and for addressing sensitive themes such as the future, uncertainties, the insecurities of youth, and transformations.
